Kongsberg and Naval Group Sign Partnership Agreement

Kongsberg and Naval Group have today signed a comprehensive partnership agreement, reinforcing both companies' positions as global leaders in the defence sector. The agreement revolves around three main areas: development, production and shared marketing in the international market.

 The discussions between the two leading defence companies have been ongoing for almost two years, where they both have valued the complementary history, knowledge, culture, service and technology they possess.

The Partnership Agreement will entail ten subtopics, such as maintenance of frigates - with a full life support - Vanguard System, Drones and Man Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T), Counter Drone Solutions, Strike missiles, Naval Cyber, Combat System, Naval Collaborative Combat and more. The agreement is expected to secure and create hundreds of jobs in Norway and in France, strengthening both companies’ regarding innovation, industry and business development worldwide for years to come.

 LONG-TERM STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
The partnership allows Kongsberg and Naval Group to share expertise on cutting edge technologies, innovate through defence domains driven by new threats and new operational capabilities. The agreement will generate new market opportunities benefiting Kongsberg and Norwegian industrial partners and enhance an already long-term strategic partnership between Norway and France.

 For Naval Group, the partnership agreement makes Kongsberg one of their closest allies:

 The Partnership Agreement also reflects Naval Group’s intent to become a key supplier to the Royal Norwegian Navy. As such, the outcomes of this partnership could support future requirements and long-term national priorities.
