ACEL has been selected by Glamox to supply switchboard systems and distribution panels for a landmark offshore wind program. The contract covers switchboards for Glamox lighting and light-management systems across several offshore HVDC converter platforms in TenneT’s 2GW program; a large-scale program to expand offshore wind grid connections in Europe.
“This is a major leap forward for ACEL and a breakthrough for us in international series deliveries of switchboards. For this contract, we have both considerably expanded our production facility and hired several engineers,” says Anders Vedlog, CEO of ACEL.
SCOPE OF DELIVERY
ACEL will deliver distribution and sub-distribution boards for normal, emergency & escape boards for lightning, and control/I&C cabinets integrated directly with Glamox marine lighting and light-management systems. The delivery includes FAT, certification, and full technical documentation.
To execute the contract, ACEL has doubled the production area at its Ålesund switchboard workshop and increased capacity for series manufacturing. With ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications and streamlined workflows, the company is positioned to deliver reliable switchboard solutions at scale – ensuring consistent quality and on-time performance across all projects.
ACEL is a reliable and solution-oriented partner. Their technical strength, professionalism, and ability to scale have been key to ensuring quality and consistency across our deliveries to TenneT." Says Tommy Stranden, Chief Sales & Commercial Office MOW Glamox
