Zeppelin Power Norway has signed a contract with VARD for the delivery of engine solutions for a new Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) being built for the Taiwan-based offshore services company Dong Fang Offshore (DFO).

The delivery includes engines from Caterpillar’s latest 3500E Series, developed for modern marine operations where high reliability, efficiency and flexibility are essential. The generator sets are supplied with Zeppelin Power’s GenFlex design, which helps reduce vibrations and noise throughout the vessel’s structure while also minimizing stress on components.

This marks the fourth vessel in the series for which Zeppelin Power has been selected as the engine solutions supplier to Dong Fang Offshore. The contract further strengthens the long-standing and successful partnership between DFO, VARD, and Zeppelin Power. “We are proud to once again be selected as the engine supplier for a new vessel for Dong Fang Offshore.

The continued trust from both VARD and DFO in choosing our solutions is a strong endorsement of the quality, expertise, and reliability we deliver. Through close collaboration with our customers and partners, we develop solutions that meet tomorrow’s demands for efficiency, operational reliability, and sustainability,” says Bernt Eidsvik, Sales Manager at Zeppelin Power
