Nor-Shipping's Sidsel Norvik: looking to build on the success of Nor-Shipping 2025 in 2027.

Nor-Shipping has revealed anticipation is already growing for its 2027 event, taking place in Oslo and Lillestrøm 7-11 June, with the news that some of the world’s leading maritime players have moved early to sign as partners.

Two familiar names have secured the positions of Main Partners, with banking giant DNB and DNV, the world’s leading classification agency, re-signing after the success of Nor-Shipping 2025. They’re being joined by Leading Partners with an international flavour, as Abu Dhabi based ADNOC and Noatum Maritime, two prominent industry players, enlist with coatings pioneer Jotun, the newly independent Kongsberg Maritime and insurance frontrunner SKULD.

The full list of Blue Talks Partners is currently being finalised, but Nor-Shipping can already confirm that Höegh Autoliners and Gard have secured the two Main Partner positions.

STEERING TOWARDS TOMORROW
“We’re thrilled to confirm such a high-quality group of partners at such an early stage,” comments Nor-Shipping Director Sidsel Norvik. “Nor-Shipping 2025 was the most successful ever, with more visitors, more activities, more high profile speakers, and more countries represented on the exhibition floors than ever before.

“There’s many elements involved in creating that success, but the importance of the support and input from partners cannot be overstated. Their combined knowledge, networks and backing ensures we stay as relevant as possible, focusing not only on key topics today, but helping steer the industry to address the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. I’d like to thank all our partners for their invaluable, on-going support.”

GLOBAL RELEVANCE
The partners have a key role to play in the maritime and ocean industries event week, helping shape the conference and Blue Talks agendas, hosting events, and working to maximise the impact of Nor-Shipping’s packed exhibition and activity programme. Both DNB and DNV have been long-serving allies.

“Nor-Shipping has a central place on the industry’s event calendar,” comments Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen, Interim Group President and CEO, DNV. “The quality and range of participants, from all over the world, makes it unique, as does its vision of looking to emerging developments, technologies and skills. It’s a vital event for our customers and stakeholders, and therefore an essential arena for us to participate in and support.”

Jan Ole Huseby, Global Head Ocean Industries, DNB adds: “In an ever changing global landscape, the importance of Nor Shipping remains a constant. As a central meeting point for one of the world’s most international industries, it brings together established companies, key decision makers, and the next generation of talent, technology, and opportunity. As a business, we are committed to understanding, supporting, and engaging with the industry at every level. There is no better arena to do so than Nor Shipping.”

SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY
Alongside the main Nor-Shipping exhibition in Lillestrøm, the 2027 programme will offer a broad range of conferences, talks, social and networking events across Oslo, and much, much more.

The full activity agenda is currently being refined but will include stand out initiatives such as: The Ocean Leadership Conference, The Blue Talks, The International Ship Autonomy and Sustainability Summit, Technical Seminars, Ocean Campus, AfterWork @AkerBrygge in Oslo, and a great deal more.
