Maritime Montering has appointed Murat Korkut as the new General Manager of its business unit in Türkiye, effective 5 January. This leadership appointment marks an important step in the company’s continued growth and its commitment to delivering high-quality marine interior and accommodation solutions in Türkiye and across global markets.

 Murat Korkut brings more than 25 years of experience in shipbuilding and maritime operations, spanning both commercial and naval vessels. His professional background includes involvement in submarine and naval construction programs, overhaul and repair of frigates and auxiliary ships, interior outfitting, and complex refit and modernization projects, including large superyachts.

 He has held senior leadership positions at Akyacht Shipyard, Sefine Shipyard, Gölcük Naval Shipyard, and Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems in Germany. In addition, Murat Korkut previously served as Project Director at Maritime Montering Turkey in 2019, providing him with strong insight into the company’s operations, culture, and strategic objectives. He now returns to Maritime Montering to lead the Turkish business unit into its next phase of development.

The local team has successfully completed numerous newbuild and repair projects, including fishing vessels, ferries, and service operation vessels, and continues to expand its footprint in the regional maritime market.

Murat Korkut succeeds Özgür Üstüner and will oversee all strategic, operational, and commercial activities in Türkiye, working closely with the Maritime Montering Group to support the company’s long-term vision.
